"I wanted to move in the direction of a more cinematic canvas with this series. I looked at what interests me and i can't go past beautiful cinematography in movies. The wat the lighting captures a mood of the scene is vital to the story. Photography to me is really a frozen scene of action, movement and thought. There is nothing static about it. Film noir was an inspiration with this series. I wanted to have a story in each scene, as subtle as they are. Something for the eyes to cast over for longer than a second. I call this series 'cinemarciana' because, though americanato me is the G rated side of iconic america, I wanted to give it a dark twist to bring out a noirish feel".
