Script in English
MVO: Hello.
FVO: Hi, it’s Jill from Lost & Found.
MVO: Hi.
FVO: We found it!
MVO: Sorry, who.. what are?
FVO: The cigarette butt. The butt you dropped on Acland Street in 1998. Look we just fished it out of the bay and thought you might like it back.
MVO: Why would I want it back?
FVO: Yeah they’re made of this plastic acetate stuff; they last for ages, like up to 12 years.
MVO: Are you serious?
FVO: Most of its poisons have leached out but it’s still intact. When can you pick it up?
MVO: OK, thank you, bye.
ANN1: Don’t be a tosser. Bin your butts.
ANN2: Authorised by the Victorian Government Melbourne.
Brief Explanation
Actual prank calls to unsuspecting smokers were used to create this anti-butt litter radio campaign for Sustainability Victoria.
