SFX: Hospital machinery, electrocardiogram (heartbeat of the baby).
The scene takes place in a labour room in a hospital. A mother who is about to give birth to her baby is being helped by a doctor and a nurse. The mother is breathing quickly and is pushing hard. The nurse is supporting her. The baby is born. Its first shout turns into the coughing fit of a heavy smoker.
SFX: Mother breathing quickly
Nurse: Breathe, breathe... and push... keep pushing, keep pushing... you’re nearly there...
Mother pushing hard
Nurse: OK, take your time... go down... and push !!
Mother breathing quickly, pushing...
Nurse: OK, keep pushing, he’s crowning... you’re almost there...
The baby comes. His first cry turns into the coughing fit of a smoker.

La maman - pousse de toutes ses forces
