Script in English
MVO: Why am I going to the YAI Brighter Futures Society event? YAI helps everyone from children with autism to adults in group homes. For the past 50 years they’ve been improving the lives of countless people across the country.
Being involved with an organisation that does so much charitable work for so many looks really, really good on a grad school application. I just show up at the event, eat hors d'oeuvres, smile, shake some hands, y'know. And I get to put it on my transcript. I work for a tobacco company, so this really helps.
ANN: Any reason is a good reason to come to the YAI Brighter Futures Society Event. Thursday May 1st, 2008 at the Angel Orensanz Foundation. 172 Norfolk Street, Manhattan.
MVO: Boy. If I can influence the life of...
SFX: Cigarette lighter, inhale
MVO: ...even one child (cough). It would mean a lot.
ANN: Tickets are still available at www.yai.org/bfs
