Durex Love. Everybody needs some. There’s sex and then there’s Durex.
Brief Explanation
It has become a part of our everyday job in Canada to apply a unique Canadian identity to the products and services we have in common with the United States. In the Durex Lubricants example, it is well known that Canadians have very different and more liberal views on sex than our U.S. counterparts. Therefore, our ads had to be a little more risqué than the more conservative U.S. campaign to reflect those attitudes. The differences are self-evident. The U.S. used comparisons with amusement park rides while we used threesomes, public sex at burger joints and the screaming monkeys.
