Wonder why the country does not take some inspiration from Eveready batteries. After all, for the past 100 years in Sri Lanka, it is the only battery with long lasting power that has stayed in power.
Brief Explanation
Sri Lanka's political history since independence has been characterized by an absence of continuity, with the electorate constantly switching loyalty between parties and coalitions. Probably why, no government has succeeded in producing any significant development in the country over the past 50 years.
In sharp contrast is the track record of Eveready, a company which has been the No. 1 market leader in Sri Lanka for the past hundred years. A serious, documentary-type, tone is deliberately used as the historical facts are known and guaranteed to produce a wry smile while underlining the longevity and reliability of the brand.
