MVO: It’s Christmas Eve. Tonight you will be Santa Claus. You go to the attic and grab that dusty box. You try to ignore your allergy, while the smell of mothballs penetrates your nose. You squeeze yourself in the much-too-small costume and stick on that beard that will give you a rash that lasts a fortnight. But even that will not stop you, because you know that when you come down the stairs with a mighty ho-ho-ho, your little boy will be truly surprised and say:

Child: Hey, dad!

MVO: Kerstavond. Vanavond bent u de kerstman. U stapt de zolder op en pakt die stoffige doos. U bent allergisch maar dat geeft niet. Alles stinkt naar mottenballen maar ook dat is geen bezwaar. U wringt zich in dat veel te kleine pak en plakt die baard op waar u 2 weken lang huiduitslag van krijgt. Maar ook dat neemt u er graag bij. Want u weet, dat wanneer u de trap af komt met een ho ho ho van jewelste, uw zoontje vol verbazing zal roepen:

Kind: Dag papa!
