In 1985, I was ranked the world’s number 1 snooker player. In 1986, I was ranked the world’s number 1 snooker player. In 87, 88 and 89, I was ranked the world’s number 1 snooker player. But then in 1990, I plummeted – tragically – to my lowest ranking spot in 8 years… number 2. That was me being ironic there.
