MVO1:Dick Payne says, "Call me Richard." Hello, I'm Simon Fitch and this is the Daily Focus. Today, Dick Payne, a Canberra resident and constant butt of the joke has requested that friends and family refer to him by his full name, "Richard." Payne has used the name when introducing himself for nearly 2 weeks now, and feels it's time for those close to him to respect the decision.

MVO2:Yeah, you know, people are always making comments like, 'What?' or 'Did you get caught in a lift?' and 'Where does it hurt again?' Yeah well maybe that was funny when I was 5, you know I just decided enough was enough, you know? Plus now I can order a pizza without those little punks snickering into the phone.

MVO1:Payne had previously considered moving to Bangkok where he could hide in the shadows of a much larger joke. And in a related story, researchers at Lipton have discovered a natural substance found in tea called L-theanine, which promotes clarity of thought.
