life we all need clarity So make your mark With the power that lies in the power of X.
Brief Explanation
1994 saw the end of Apartheid and the election of Nelson Mandela as president. Since then
research has shown that people have become complacent when it comes to voting, a trend
especially prevalent among the youth. We created a 2 minute song for radio featuring a hip South African, famous across the youth market. The song aired on play list of top youth radio stations and was one of South Africa’s most downloaded songs off the Internet.
Our objective was achieved with 98% of the country registered to vote. The highest voter
registration ever recorded in South African elections.
