MVO:This is a test of the Emergency Long Ball System. It is only a test. But be advised: when baseball’s biggest sluggers descend on Pittsburgh July 11th the fat part of the bat will send a barrage of baseballs which are expected to pummel the area, all responsible citizens are urged to take action. Shutter your windows, attic your lawn munchkins, bubble wrap your pets. If your house or place of business lies within fair territory, beyond the confines of the stadium, you’re recommended to gather your loved ones and seek refuge at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Pittsburgh’s official long ball headquarters. While there, protect yourself with the latest Nike Baseball gear. Once again … baseball’s biggest sluggers are coming to Da ‘Burgh so beware the Long Ball and get your Nike gear at Dick’s. This has been a test of the Emergency Long Ball System. This is only a test.

Brief Explanation

In the US, Emergency Broadcasts are made by the government to warn the population about safety risks like tornados, deadly storms, or flooding. Our radio spot uses the droning warning note of the Emergency Broadcast System (we made our sound with a ballpark organ) and the same monotone voice used by the announcers of the Emergency Broadcast.
