VO: This is a travel advisory. Travellers embarking on European Bus Tours are being asked to vaccinate themselves against Chronic Bus Tour Fatigue Syndrome. CBTFS is a degenerative disease that comes from sharing excessive bus time with retired people in matching sweatsuits. Being herded like cattle through wax museums, castles and
balsamic vinegar factories may lead to irritability, depression and loudly asking French waiters if they know how to speak “American.” Chronic Bus Tour Fatigue Syndrome can strike anywhere, most recently in Austria, where the hills were alive not with music, but with the sound of an elderly passenger wheezing himself to sleep. To reduce the spread of CBTFS authorities are urging travellers to avoid sharing fannypacks. Any traveller discovered wearing their shorts snugly around the chest area should be removed from the tour bus and quarantined until their shorts return to normal waist-level position.
