MVO: Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Miserable.

Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Miserable were seated next to each other at a dinner party. But surprisingly, they weren’t getting on very well.

'My favourite song is 'Heaven knows I’m Miserable Now' by The Smiths,' said Mr. Grumpy.
'What’s yours?'
'I’m Too Sexy,' said Mr. Miserable.

'Don’t you just love the colour black?' said Mr. Grumpy.
'I prefer pink,' said Mr. Miserable. 'In fact, any of these colours,' he said pointing at his
Hawaiian shirt.

'I think all we have to cling to is despair,' said Mr. Grumpy.
'I think all we have to cling to is disco,' said Mr. Miserable.

'Look, I thought you were supposed to be miserable,' said Mr. Grumpy, sounding a little annoyed. 'What changed you?'

ANN: Land Happy with the really rather uplifting Upper Class only on Virgin Atlantic.

Brief Explanation

We demonstrate the transformative powers of flying in Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class using the well-known Mr. Men and Little Miss characters created by Roger Hargreaves in the 1970s.

Even the most crabby of these characters arrive well-rested and in a good mood, thus dramatising the campaign line 'Land Happy'. Unlike most of the cold, clinical advertising targeted at the business class flyer, this campaign triggers feelings of warmth and nostalgia in the consumer.
