Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has just released its first TV campaign for Fonterra’s Perfect Italiano brand, staring the perfect man.

He’s Italian (naturally). He lives in a stunning house. He practices tai chi. He plays guitar tune. He knits. He loves his dog.

But best of all, he cooks. Not just one dish, either. Our perfect man cooks fresh pasta, bruschetta, and he can even prepare a salad without the slightest threat to his masculinity.

The campaign is aimed at inspiring people to cook with Perfect Italiano Ricotta regularly. The ads demonstrate that, even with limited cooking skills, you can construct café-style meals quickly and easily with Perfect Italiano.
The tongue-in-cheek campaign was shot in New Zealand by famous US comedy director Brendan Gibbons. He has shot ads for CNN, Denny’s, National Geographic and ESPN, amongst others. Each execution in the campaign has subtle comedic differences, so that the message of simplicity could be communicated through a variety of different channels but stay fresh.

“The objective of the campaign was to illustrate the simplicity and versatility of Perfect Italiano Ricotta. The finished product has exceeded all our expectations,” said Erin Lynch, Perfect Italiano Brand Manager.

Despite his character having some flaws, Oliver, our real life ‘Perfect Man’ seems to have none. This beautiful Aussie has modelled in Milan, has a three year old son, is currently learning Italian and lives in New York for six months of the year.
