The Epica Awards recognize creative production in the European advertising industry. Now in their 13th year, their aim is to encourage the highest standard of creativity in European advertising and to help agencies, production houses and photographers to develop their reputation across the continent. The Epica Awards are judged by the European advertising trade press. 30 magazines from 27 countries were represented on the jury in 1999. Epica winners receive widespread media coverage throughout Europe and a selection of the best entries is published each year in the Epica Book, a unique record of Europe's most outstanding creative work.
