Saatchi & Saatchi has transformed a number of UK bus shelters into interactive games based on a fairground stall, where travellers can bash Cadbury Creme Eggs.

The agency, which released new TV ads for the brand at Christmas, has created a game which turns the shelters into touch-screen fairground stalls.

Travellers must bash as many digital falling eggs as possible in 20 seconds, in order to release their goo.

The 10 heated shelters, primarily in downtown Chicago locations like Michigan Avenue and State Street, will have posters that read: “Cold, provided by winter. Warmth, provided by Stove Top.” The posters will also appear on 40 other bus shelters that will not have heated roofs.

Kraft is arranging for the company that builds and maintains the bus shelters, JCDecaux North America, to heat them, trying to bring to life the warm feeling that consumers get when they eat stuffing, according to Kraft.

Such “experiential marketing” is intended to entice consumers to experience products or brands tangibly rather than bombard them with pitches.

This outdoor idea not only embraces the media at its disposal but also gives consumers a realistic world of advice to help tackle the current energy crisis in South Africa. The execution ensures that the consumer interacts with the message when a light is triggered by a sensor as they approach the bus stop - illuminating the shelter as well as the message, which reads: "Only use electricity when you need it".

This bus shelter is a strong reminder of how simple it is to save energy, by switching off a light when it's not a use. And, so one of the world's largest energy saving light bulb manufacturers, it shows that Osram is committed to educating consumers on just how easy it is to use energy.

To get people connected with the San Francisco Zoo, BBDO West in SF created a multi-media campaign called "Critter Quest".
People stand in front of a series of local bus shelters and postings at the zoo, which are playfully adorned with everything from horns to butterfly wings and oversized ears. The copy suggests having a friend take a picture of you in front of the bus shelter/postings, and then instructs you to load on the OurSFZoo website . If you’re creative enough, your image might end up in a print ad for the San Fran Zoo’s attempt to reconnect with locals and visitors. Thousands have submitted photos so far – we’re interested in seeing how creative people will get.

Synopsis
Recognizing that every moment matters to travelers, SS+K along with partners Digitas, MediaKitchen, CAA, DKC and Lippincott Mercer, created ‘Change’ - a fully integrated communications campaign that reinforces Delta’s commitment to respecting and enhancing it’s customer's travel experience.

Context

Delta needed to convince the skeptical flying public that a legacy airline emerging from Chapter 11 restructuring was committed to making flying a better experience. Delta also needed to gain traction with the media, shareholders and most importantly, their customers that we were focused on “change” – for the better.
Philosophy/Solution

The full campaign continues to include print, TV, radio, OOH, pr, branding and identity and online. Importantly, it also shifts Delta from having a monologue to creating a dialogue with its customers.

Results
As a result of this effort, brand tracking studies have found positive brand perception and brand momentum numbers leap into double digits. Henry Harteveldt, principal analyst at Forrester Research Inc has also credited the campaign for Delta’s recent 3rd quarter success.

Avertiser: KAISER PERMANENTE
Agency: CAMPBELL-EWALD

Category: Investment, insurance & property development
Tags: Creative review , Creative ads on bus shelters , Creative outdoor , Mastering of the ambient space in outdoor advertising , Transparent billboard

Description / Synopsis
Reposition the brand and change negative perceptions and declining enrollment of Kaiser Permanente non-members
Objectives
Reposition the brand
Increase enrollment
Unify messaging among internal departments of company to align to brand essence
Philosophy/Solution
Insight from research indicated that consumers are suspicious and cynical about their health and managed care. By connecting with consumers on an emotional level we needed to reinvent the language, champion a cause and redefine the system.
We positioned Kaiser as a “health advocate,” putting the patient first empowering them to live a happier, healthier life – in other words “To Thrive”.
The integrated campaign, from broccoli tags in grocery stores to TV spots, all embraced the “health advocate” strategic platform and talked to people in a completely new way about their health.
Results
Consideration to join has increased significantly since the campaign was launched.
Image attributes increased dramatically.
The “Thrive” positioning galvanized the entire organization.

Description / Synopsis
SUMMARY
Magnum is an icon of indulgence for modern sexy women. After the success of Magnum 7 Sins, sales momentum slowed significantly in 2004. A fresh injection of news was needed to stir up excitement, regain the brand’s iconic position and give women something new and exciting to covet. Despite 30% reduced media investment, European women flocked to Magnum’s latest limited edition: the campaign for Magnum 5 Senses reclaimed the brand’s former strengths – stocks ran out by July, single sales increased by 18% in this impulse purchase sector and women rediscovered Magnum as an object of female desire.
