Launched on 4 May 2008, this campaign from DDB Sydney aims to raise awareness of the Sydney Children’s Hospital and its tireless work in the holistic care and well being of seriously ill children. The 60” TVC is a dramatic story tale of Mary the Braveheart. Narrated by Miranda Otto, the fairy tale follows the story of Mary as she tries to fight the heartless Bacteria Ogres. Only with the help of Sir John and his Knights protecting Mary from their vicious bites is Mary able to defeat the marauding danger. The visually stunning storybook style was developed from the collaborative effort between Tui Studios and FSM. The project was a unique melding of 2D, design and 3D complimenting such a story tale.

Brendan Savage Design Director: "It was a large project with many scenes to composite in After Effects. Working closely with the 3D team the whole project ran smoothly. Good planning and communication was the key. Also because all character and set design was done up front there was no surprises for the client. They knew what direction it was going and it only kept looking better as each stage of the project developed."
