Ambient Execution Description
To create a credible life experience of what it feels like to be homeless, we manipulated the room temperature in cinemas by setting the air-conditioning to the lowest-possible temperature during an official movie screening. The audience was not informed about this in advance.In a short film, homeless people talked directly to the audience about their daily life in the cold. Donations could be made instantly via a QR code on blankets distributed in the cinema or in cash after the movie.The communication activity took place in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Dresden, Recklinghausen and Stuttgart.
