Brief Explanation
To advertise the fastest Volkswagen Beetle ever, with a twist, we arranged a race between real live animal beetles instead of cars. A miniature race track was built, allowing eight beetles to compete in each heat. In a unique collaboration with Betsson, an online betting company, we allowed the target group to bet real money on the race results. Anybody could then watch the races live online, where Pistol Pete ended up the winner of the entire competition.At the end of each racing heat, viewers were introduced to the most powerful beetle of them all – the Volkswagen Beetle Turbo.
