Describe the brief from the client
Adidas wanted to increase the relationship between staff and customers in its adidas stores. However, traditional business cards just don’t fit with the brand profile.
Describe the challenges and key objectives
We created business cards made of shoelace. The shoelace business cards not only carried the adidas identity, but also stood out from all the others, making it more likely that customers and staff kept in touch.
Describe how you arrived at the final design
Each salesperson in adidas stores had customised shoelace business cards with their names, phone number and address. Therefore, after they talked their customers, they gave the cards, so the contact could continue. Eg. if the customers wanted to know if the piece they ordered had arrived.
Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
It was a remarkable initiative that surprised all our customers and was talked about on many websites, all of them praising adidas’ innovation.
