Describe the challenges and key objectives
The overall theme needs to work across everything from room names to café amenities. Additionally the name and visual identity needed to be unique and engaging for a very refined audience from the WPP family.

Describe the brief from the client
In Singapore, WPP has invested in developing a new office building to bring together the different WPP brands under one roof. This is in line with WPP’s vision to see greater interaction, partnership and collaboration between the WPP brands to better serve the clients in the region. It aims to improve work life with amenities such as a café, meeting spaces, and a even a roof garden. WPP Real Estate approached Landor to help name and brand the entire facility. The objective was to bring to life the vision of a creative hub where WPP brands, clients and visitors can meet, interact and grow.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The name Palette was chosen because it communicates the different WPP brands coming together yet retaining their individual identity and colour. With this unique design theme, Landor then extended it to the meeting room concepts that include Scarlet, Indigo, Cyan, Emerald, Magenta, Lime, Ivory, Saffron and Cinnamon. The colours are evocative and memorable as they go beyond communicating a visual, but also flavour and smell.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Seeing as most of the guests that use Palette are in a creative industry, Palette needed to be inspiring and sophisticated. Landor’s work accomplished that goal and enabled the WPP brands to collaborate and bring to life the vision of a creative hub from which all can thrive in the future.
