Describe the brief from the client
To create a new identity for McCann Worldgroup, the global group of 8 best-in-class marketing solutions companies. The new identity needed to reflect McCann Worldgroup’s mission: to transform its clients’ brands and grow their businesses.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
McCann Worldgroup represents a group of highly creative agencies, but it also needs to be seen as a serious corporate entity. Our challenge was to create an identity that allowed enough creative flair to shine through, whilst maintaining a sense of respectability.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The creative idea was born out of the concept of transformation. We created a series of symbols that each represented a different kind of transformation, whether it’s seeds that grow into flowers, or the seasons having a transformative effect on nature.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Within McCann Worldgroup the response has been amazingly positive. It’s always a difficult thing to have your peers as a client, but we have received an overwhelmingly positive response.
