Describe the brief from the client
Our aim was to portray the Chaos Crew tattoo studio as skilled and innovative in Munich, and – in the further process – at tattoo fairs.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
The main challenge was to differentiate our client from competing tattoo studios in Munich in an unseen way.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We thought about how we could demonstrate tattoo art in its most authentic form. That was when the idea of the tattooed poster was born. We experimented with pig-skin and discovered that calf-skin offered the better results.

The motive’s idea?
Since tattoos always have an important background to the tattooed person, we thought about what stories were important to a mass of people. That was when we came up with the idea for the final design – an annual review of 2011 tattooed on real skin.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Due to the very recent release date, no indications of success can be made at this point.
