Describe the challenges and key objectives
Since Paintbox is a growing company, they could not afford to go to television or mainstream print media. The budgets were extremely thin. They also wanted the world of animation to stand out and capture the imagination of the people and make them look at CG imagery in a new light.

Describe the brief from the client
Paintbox is a computer generated visual effects studio. It wanted to connect with advertising agencies, photographers, film studios and production houses and impress them with the possibilities of animation and computer generated visual effects imagery.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We decided to create large posters that opened up the marvelous world of animation and computer generated imagery and put them up at key locations where people were forced to stand and marvel at the burgeoning world, bursting with computer generated characters. The more they stayed and looked, the more they found in the set of three posters.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Paintbox was a comparatively new name in advertising / production circles, but these posters caught the fancy of the target audience and generated tremendous word of mouth publicity. Their website received inquiries from professionals seeking animation and CG work.
