Describe the challenges and key objectives
It had to be something cosmic, or futuristic, bright and extraordinary to make Oversun stand out and become recognized, yet smart and business-like enough to declare professionalism and reliability.

Describe the brief from the client
Oversun is a startup to launch a chain of modern data centres with cutting edge technologies and advanced management. The company name came from a sci-fi story, which called for a visually striking space-theme graphic solution. They were looking for a progressive logo and corporate identity design that would convey the exceptional quality of the infotech services offered by them.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We thought of a bright modern image to effectively catch attention and chose to use colourful gradients and abstract extraordinary shapes. Given space theme, we developed this idea and created the main logo, a flagship travelling through a portal. As we designed various spaceship parts, we were able to build a whole fleet of division logos to go along, and made these components available for future use. The identity had to be outstanding and highly modern, yet very business-like, so we proposed original printing solutions to produce smart and slick corporate materials. All guidelines are compiled into a detailed brandbook.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

The company's first data centre Oversun Mercury (http://www.oversunmercury.ru/data-center/) opened in January 2010 and more are to be launched soon. The corporate identity makes the startup stand out among their rivals, becoming known for their use of high-end technology and top quality equipment, and efficient service. Oversun aims to lead the industry offering cutting edge infotech support for businesses and, with the strong cosmic image it now has, is making a great start.
