Describe the challenges and key objectives
Design business cards for the Secretary and Undersecretaries of the Philippine Department of Tourism.

Describe the brief from the client
Senior government officials have very formal cards. Our main worry was how they would receive a design which breaks with tradition.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We thought it would be surprising and interesting to make the business cards colorful and informative. By re-designing them as mini-postcards, they became direct advertisements for the country.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Response is mainly anecdotal, but the mini-postcards were warmly received by the government officials. They proved so popular that the design is being rolled out in Philippine Department of Tourism local offices, as well as in Asia, Australia and the USA.
