Describe the brief from the client
In the occasion of the upcoming reprint of all the titles, Die Schachtel wanted to promote its 'Zeit series' to distributors worldwide, in order to increase the awareness and ensure re-orders.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
The Zeit CD series, dedicated to young artists of the cutting-edge Italian experimental music scene, has been around since some time, but it is not always seen as a whole. The CDs are usually bought singularly, while the label wants them to be perceived as a complete collection that covers many different aspects of the Italian new music scene. The objective was to convince distributors to buy and promote the entire collection to customers, and not only as single releases.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The strength of the series lies not only in the innovative music, but also in the bold and consistent design style. Each individual cover design is deeply connected to the music it contains, yet it also works in creating a dialogue between the different CDs, as well as a memorable graphic identity for the label. We packaged them in an asymmetrical white-and-red box that clearly resembles the label's logo, and we kept it clean from any promotional message to increase the mystery of the object and the surprise of discovering the entire collection.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The box has been very well received, and the orders are increasing. The label is thinking of making it become a proper edition for collectors, and customers too.
