Describe the brief from the client
Following a twenty-year tradition, to redesign the calendar once again, both in format and in concept so as to devise an end-of-the-year self-promotion gift which may evoke the imagination of its customers, partners and friends.
In 2010/2011, contemporary issues such as sustainability, usability, customisation, flexibility and closeness were the basis for creating the item, without losing sight of branding.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
To create a unique item from two elements that are so widely known and exploited [ecobag and calendar], by using design as a differentiating and strategic tool.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The Ecocalendarbag is a contemporary calendar made in cotton and 100% recyclable. Users are encouraged to interact with and customise their bag, which comes with a red marker [institutional color], conveying the idea that anyone can do whatever they wish with their time. And further, that anything can fit their timetable, either in A4 or A3 format.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The calendar was welcomed by everyone: there are several unique shoulder strap models parading through the streets of Rio, which will be gathered, in 2012, at an exhibition titled “The Time for Each One”. And what’s more, as it has a formal link with the company’s relationship materials, this item also turns each user into an “ambassador” of the Dupla Design brand.
