Show dynamism and illustrate the expansion potential of the organisation, as well as the true African nature of the operations. 5. Create a highly creative piece with a very limited budget.

Describe the brief from the client
Enablis is a Canadian-based not-for-profit success story. The foundation helps African entrepreneurs in South and Central Africa by giving them access to a range of professional and financial resources to realise their business projects. But this year is the year of the expansion: plans have been made to expand in Latin America and Eastern Africa.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The 2009 annual report is made up of four small booklets delivered in a stretchable net, like the ones used to package fruits. Each booklet presents the theme: 'expansion in all dimensions' EXPANSION (the vision), IN (the countries of operation), ALL (the members), DIMENSIONS (the partnership). All the graphics and colours are used to show Africa in a positive and contemporary way.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Expansion in all dimensions has won one award in 2010: Grafika Awards (Québec, Canada), Grand prize, category: Business publication. We’ve grown from 0 to 750 members, staff and volunteers, and from success to success.
