Brief Explanation:
Together, the members act as change agents and have generated 8,500 jobs and close to 110,000 indirect jobs. And that is precisely what the 2010 Enablis Annual Report needed to reflect—a clear demonstration of how the Enablis movement, through the dedication of its members, contributes to the reconstruction of Africa.
Describe the brief from the client:
Enablis is a Canadian non-profit organization (NPO), founded by Charles Sirois, whose mission is to provide financial and professional support to entrepreneurs in West and South Africa, through its member network.

With 11 offices and more than 1,000 member entrepreneurs throughout Africa, Enablis reached an important milestone in 2010 by becoming a social movement driver for social and economic growth. As an action-oriented organization that takes a strong stance against the status quo, each of its 1,000 members actively participate in the emergence of a strong, entrepreneurial Africa.
Description of how you arrived at the final design:
“I am one thousand.”
Strength in numbers and the uniqueness of everyone. Each member is important and brings something unique and different to the group. To illustrate this point, we put together a series of various papers and used different graphic styles to communicate a positive portrayal of today’s Africa.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market:
With its unique graphic style in the image of today’s Africa, the 2010 Enablis Annual Report highlights the uniqueness of the movement and its entrepreneurs. While respecting a limited budget for printing and handling, it allows the organization and each of its members to further their commitment and, more importantly, opens the door to future expansion into South America.
