Describe the brief from the client
Monster Brawl is a horror film in which 8 classical monsters fight each other in death matches to determine which monster is the most powerful. The client wanted a low-cost, high-impact campaign to promote their Friday the 13th screening of the film.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
The client had a very limited budget, so we had to spread the word about the screening with not a lot of money. As an independent film, we had to get people interested enough to consider watching a film they may have not heard of before.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The film is about monsters fighting monsters, so we created posters of the monsters and placed them around Toronto in unconventional ways. Real bolts, bandages, trees and city poles were used to interact with each poster according to a monster’s weaknesses or physical characteristic.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The Friday the 13th screening of Monster Brawl sold out and photos of the poster installations were widely shared on social media sites.
