Describe the brief from the client
Meaning 'natural' in Gaelic, Nàdurra omits modern chill filtering in its production, thus capturing the character of the traditional 19th Century methods employed by founder George Smith. This preserves intact the full flavour of the malt to create an artisanal and crafted whisky.
Describe the challenges and key objectives
As part of The Glenlivet brand redesign we were asked to update the Nàdurra to communicate the unique and highly individual character of the whisky.
Describe how you arrived at the final design
Taking inspiration from the unadulterated nature of the whisky, all elements of the design, from the hand crafted 'Nàdurra' type, to the stencilling which features on the carton and tissue wrap, were developed to reference this highly crafted and individual whisky – a purer expression of The Glenlivet’s great tradition.
