Describe the brief from the client
Our message is that design is worth-while. Design deserves the money and time spent on it, and if design is based on a good idea, it really works and has the power to influence people and their activity. Design defines modernity.

Every calendar day is a new trash bag. Every month is a roll of 28-31 trash bags. The calendar consists of 12 rolls and is divided into 4 quarterly sets with 3 months-rolls. The date is printed on every bag so that you can see it when the bag is placed into the trash bin.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
We faced the following problems:
• Customers are not ready to pay for design in Ukraine.
• Customers order the cheapest developments regardless of their quality or create designs on their own.
• Many companies go without any design at all.
• Ukrainian companies do not consider design to be important for their business.
• In the post-crisis period there has been a drastic decline of attention to our work and design in general.

We need an excuse to contact potential customers.
In order to remind about us every day, we decided to create a calendar as a self-promo.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
Text on the calendar:
“All design products ultimately end up in trash. And many more ideas remain just ideas. We believe that the design idea in each project should have the power to act and be effective during its short life. Only this way, design really matters. When we create ideas that are able to change the world, our life matters. Then, we do not regret a day, as we did not waste it.”

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Most of the calendars immediately were used as hoped. For our calendar it is the result we are aiming for. It works, even in trash, and all the time makes people wonder why and how each day has been spent.
