Describe the brief from the client, an illustrators’ studio, wanted us to design a corporate identity that would be unique yet relevant to their profession.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
As the target audience of were creative professionals, our challenge was to design the corporate identity in such a unique way that it would appeal to their heightened creative sensibilities.

The key objectives were to create a very distinctive corporate identity that would do be true to the nature of their profession and would establish as a premier illustrators' studio.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
One of the marks of a great illustration is that words aren’t required to explain it. Thus, using this insight, we came up with the idea. The idea was that instead of writing the individual’s name on the business card, we illustrated it. Each card had illustrations which when put together spelt out the illustrator’s name.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The visiting cards were an instant hit with advertising professionals, designers, publishers and animators. Not only did they enhance the image of as a unique and truly creative boutique, they ensured top-of-mind recall and also resulted in a 35% increase in enquiries.
