Describe the challenges and key objectives
The exhibition provides comprehensive insight into the “Tiefendesign” or “depth design” approach that forms the basis of the company’s creative power. The challenge was to make the presentation so engaging that it would draw the interest of the guests even during the award gala.

Describe the brief from the client
KMS TEAM is a leading international company for brand strategy, brand design and brand communication. In 2009, it was named “red dot design agency of the year” in the red dot international design competition. Against this background, an exhibition was designed about the company.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
A black bar cleaves a path into the building, breaking through walls and rooms, thereby creating its own stage. Along the way, visitors learn about the history of the company: Employees of KMS TEAM present projects and personal experiences in the form of short films. Thus the bar develops into a space-sound installation, which gradually involves visitors - until they themselves become elements of it: A camera records the visitors, and their image is projected live onto a wall. There the black bar is virtually extended and eventually fed into the Internet. Real and virtual spaces thus blend into each other.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The exhibition was extremely well received among visitors and is being extended to other locations.
