Describe the brief from the client
We are a graphic design firm located in a former department store building where people used to shop for their favourite fashions.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
Our city planned to hold its second annual Cincinnati Fashion Week, and we saw it as an opportunity to help people understand that a city like Cincinnati, while not necessarily known as a centre of fashion or design, is in fact a place where great creativity is possible, and is home to some very creative people.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We created ‘Graphic Fashion’ - an experience that used original pattern creations to connect the worlds of graphic design and fashion. The experience included an epic outdoor street party, an arresting window display, large-scale projections and employee engagement. It was a showcase of the talented people who work inside our building.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Over 800 people attended the event including local students, clients and the Mayor. One person described it as “the type of event that makes people want to take another look at our city as a place to live, invest in and visit”. Our firm gained much positive press with over 3m media impressions. Graphic Fashion sparked dialogue about art, design and creativity and put our firm at the centre of the conversation.
