Describe the brief from the client
To design a lapel pin that attendants of APEC JAPAN 2010 can wear.
For security, it had better show each class clearly so that one can recognize who is the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Minister, or their partners.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
We made the pin which is of course well-identified, and also can bring the spirit of Japanese hospitality.
It's sort of a gift for attendants.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The "KOMA (spinning top)" motif represents our wish that the meeting moves forward smoothly, and the 5 colors traditionally means good health in Japan.
We made six kinds of pins.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
As well as leading successful meeting, it contributed to convey Japanese culture to give full hospitality for the guests.
