Describe the brief from the client
Eclectic is not a Bar/Pub, or a normal lounge. Eclectic is a concept, a space, a vanguard idea designed to surprise the customer; an experience not to be forgotten. The concept is simple but powerful, Metropolitanism, multicultural ideas and eclecticism; sum of sensations and cultures.
Is a physical place some times, few performances in a city, or renting space in Hong Kong to promote theatre, cuisine, or an electronic music event.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
They need a very urban logo:
- With class
- With Helvetic temperament
- Minimalism
- Eco friendly (1 Ink or Colour)
- Very representative
- Powerful
- Eclectic
Positioning the logo in urban culture in different capitals and depending on the success, launch a physical place in Berlin or HK in 2015.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We always thought of Berlin as a cultural centre. We used a capital ‘E’ with a picture of a wall superimposed on it, in Black and White. No more type, no more design, no more elements. The ‘wall’ describes the culture and the metropolitan ideas of progress nowadays. An iconic symbolism between old thinking, and the young Europe.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The success is very subjective, because it is a very romantic project. More social than corporate, the client is quite happy with the brand and its communicative power. Also because is truly recognisable. Everybody respect the brand and its ideas, performances, etc.


The logo is almost digital and homemade in its applications. Sometimes printed as stamp or photocopy, other ones are offset.

The web is always changing, but you can see really interesting and amazing things.
