Describe the brief from the client
Our head client on our biggest account (Neil Golden of McDonald's) was reaching a milestone: His 50th birthday. The agency needed to celebrate with him.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
The assignment had a small budget and had to capture our client's attention amidst gifts he'd likely receive from other agency partners.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The creative team combined the iconic visual of a McDonald's French fry plus ketchup with the most famous of birthday visuals, a candle. The result: A fry and ketchup that resembles a birthday candle.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Our client was moved and verbally thanked the agency for the gesture. Mission accomplished.
