Describe the brief from the client
The Brand Union sponsors a series of monthly talks to inspire and stimulate the creative juices of its team. Great names have spoken at this event including Fergus Henderson, Sir John Hegarty, Michael Wolff, Sir Martin Sorrell, Michael Peters, Mike Dempsey, Richard Seymour, Storm Thorgerson, John Torode, and Mary Lewis. These talks are announced through a poster campaign.

The designer most passionate or with the most affinity to the speaker creates the poster.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
The posters publicise the event, but they also give insight into the topic for those unfamiliar with the speaker.

Each poster needs to reflect the personality of the speaker and their work.

Designing for an internal audience can be highly competitive as it is designing for your peers.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The posters create an affinity with the speaker work in a stylish and creative way in order to showcase the event and the designers’ passion for that speaker. Each poster is printed in a limited edition run and the proceeds as well as the waivered fee from the speaker is donated to the charity of their choice.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Posters are given as a gift to speakers and have been extremely well received. Great efforts are taken to produce these posters in order to bring high impact at low cost

There is a queue of designers who wish to add their name to the poster authorship.
