Describe the challenges and key objectives
’Denise Nails’ is an independent boutique nail parlour owned by Denise, who specialises in French manicures, which are her clients preferred nail finish.
Describe the brief from the client
To create a new identity for ‘Denise Nails’, a boutique nail parlour.
Describe how you arrived at the final design
The identity marries the ‘D’ letterform, taken from Denise, with the iconic French manicure nail shape. To further emphasise the nail shape, we have printed varnish over the nail.On the business cards, which are printed nail files, the ‘D’ logo was positioned at one end to suggest a finger. In addition, appointment/invitation postcards were designed with women’s silhouettes, where die-cut holes create finger puppets. Manicured nails then become colourful shoes.
