Describe the brief from the client
Skateboarding was originated in the 1960s, with the sun of California and the surfer 'Old School' style. Those guys are icons of coolness because it’s kind of the older you ride, the cooler you are.
Describe the challenges and key objectives
The challenge was to make something that stands out of the regular skaters' communication. The typical picture of a guy doing a cool trick, and that´s it.
The objective was to craft to the detail the 1900´s style.
Describe how you arrived at the final design
We went even further back in history, by creating a brand that should have existed 100 years ago, with a style we like to call 'Very Old School'. For what we created a special board, and all the communication around it.
Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
This sub-brand is becoming a culture. We began with skateboards, soon we will developing Very Old School trousers, shirts, suits, and funny hats.
We changed the rules of the market, moving the conception of time.
In your face, old school guys!
