Describe the challenges and key objectives
The book was designed within a set of simple parameters; to fit within 100 pages, to be matter of fact and to be aesthetically sympathetic to its content.

Describe the brief from the client
To celebrate Najib Corban’s 100th year. Najib Corban is one of New Zealand’s wine industry pioneers. Despite losing his sight at an early age he worked a full working life as a Vigneron, a vineyard worker.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
It is an inventory of sorts documenting his life through metaphor, photographs of his tools and his poetry. It was published in conjunction with a limited edition magnum, dipped in blackboard paint and hand numbered in an edition of 100.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The project was produced for family and friends to acknowledge a life well lived.
