Describe the brief from the client
South by Southwest is one of the largest music events in the United States, which draws more than 20,000 attendees to see the 2,000 performers who play in more than 90 venues. Indie rock band Ohio Knife decided to load up the tour van and head south to leave their mark on the festival.
Describe the challenges and key objectives
We jumped in to create a full on, 5-city rock-and-roll assault on the American south as a means of promoting Ohio Knife's tour and live performances.
Describe how you arrived at the final design
The band’s sound is raw, honest and undeniably, handcrafted so we created a series of limited edition tour posters that would be just as hard hitting as the music.
Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Each poster is signed and numbered and like the band’s surprise, small venue appearances, when they’re gone, they’re gone.
