Describe the brief from the client
Create a product catalogue, with the company’s vast production of handbags, toiletry bags and gifts, in a cheap, appealing and creative manner. Use leftover materials from production to enclose catalogues. Track the company’s need for constant updates, and the possibility of customising the catalogue with products that meet a given client’s specific needs.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
The company is characterised by its great vocation in combining fabrics in various colours and prints on its products, and for the differentiated finish of the products. Featuring too vast a product line to show in full, the major challenge we met was to define a format that would be easy to handle and that could be updated without disposing of the whole piece.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The catalogue was split into posters, organising products on one side and an emotional image on the other. Items were grouped by colours, bringing visual impact to the piece when seen open. The sets were named after concepts associated to the colours. The process of folding the posters was facilitated by diecutting the corners of the folded piece, also creating lozenges that segment the pages, creating the visual effect of lace. Diagonally-placed arrows orient and facilitate the proper unfolding of the pieces. Each catalogue is made of four posters encased in bags made of various leftover materials recycled from production.
