Describe the challenges and key objectives
This tribute needed to capture the commitment and energy of everyone at the company. A memory for all SNS Reaal employees and external stakeholders of a positive era in the company’s history.

Describe the brief from the client
With his departure from SNS Reaal in 2008, Mr. Sjoerd van Keulen, the CEO, wanted to celebrate the end of an era marked by successful growth and change. The company, a mid sized player in the Dutch financial market, had over the last 6 years, become recognised as an innovative brand, changing from being a traditional bank, to becoming a more retail minded entity.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The concept of ‘Trots’ the Dutch word for pride, became the theme of the book. The 6 year period was brought to life through a dynamically illustrated timeline. This timeline highlighted crucial business, cultural and personal moments in this era of SNS Reaal. The visual style is varied, reflecting the corporate voice and the familiarity of the company culture. The physical form of a stitch-bound segment represents this era being a ‘chapter’ in the history of SNS Reaal.
