This was an agency initiative intended to help creatives around the world, and to help establish our agency’s digital credentials.

The key objective was to make something that was of use to fellow creatives around the world.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
Keeping on top of awards entries can be frustrating. We designed a website and screensaver which aims to track every award deadline in the world. At t-minuscountdown.com you can download your awards watch list as a screensaver. It appears as a constantly updating colourscape, with award deadlines growing and becoming more agitated as units of time flow around them. It’s built using the Cinder C++ library and Box2D to create physics-based animations that run at a super-smooth 60fps using OpenGL. This creates infinite variations in the transitions that keep the screensaver looking fresh.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The service has been well received, with around 15,000 downloads of the screensaver. 4,000 page impressions a month, and a growing Twitter following from creatives based around the globe.
