Describe the brief from the client
The DesignThinkers conference is an annual event held in Toronto that features designers from around the globe. Esteemed speakers discuss the unique insight and problem-solving processes of the designer and debate how design thinking impacts business, society and the environment. Our job was to design all materials for the 2010 DesignThinkers conference in Toronto.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
An event focused on design thinking has to make designers think. That’s why all of the materials produced had to be interesting, transparent, fun, topical and thought provoking. We also needed a design system that could be leveraged to produce postcards, marketing books, web banners and skins, e-mail newsletters, magazine advertising, event books, lanyard badges, t-shirts, directional signage, stage and podium signage and a 10 minute ambient videoloop.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
Inspired by the early ideation and 'work-in-progress' stages of the design process, we created a simple design system and raw aesthetic that featured thought provoking statements about design and business.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The event was RGDs most attended DesignThinkers conference to date and the theme of 'discuss' inspired an Adobe sponsored blog that features articles by the events speakers. The blog is still active to this day.
