Describe the brief from the client
The Foundation asked Paprika to design a printed item commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Liliane and David M. Stewart Collection. This item was to be a souvenir for guests at 3 events to celebrate the anniversary in Montreal, New York and Paris, and featuring the launch of a book, The Century of Modern Design: Selections from the Liliane and David M. Stewart Collection.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
This was a major challenge. The Foundation wished to not only convey the importance of the collection itself, but also, especially, their active role in the field of modern art in Canada, the United States or Europe. This led to the idea of working with all the events organised by the Liliane and David M. Stewart Foundation over the past 30 years.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We designed a poster that is divided into 33 equal sections, each having the dimensions and appearance of a ticket to an art exhibit: 1 section for each year, and 3 final sections containing further information about the Foundation. A list of all the events, with historical details, appears on the back of the poster.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
We can confirm absolutely that all the 30th anniversary events were enormously successful. In addition, the poster has already won 5 graphic design awards, including 1 award dedicated to graphic communications developed specifically for museums.
