Describe the brief from the client
The poster was created as a reaction to the events that enfolded at this year’s World Cup…
We wanted to down tools and gather in reception in support of England in their final, crucial, decisive group game against Slovenia. We needed a call to action.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
Two abject performances had put England on the brink of a humiliating elimination.
The nation had lost faith in the manager, the players, even Wayne Rooney...
We had to unite the staff: to make them come together and believe.
There seemed nothing left to do but plead for divine intervention...

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We looked at the symbol of English football fandom - the St George's flag - and saw that it could be turned into a symbol of faith (and desperation).

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
It must have worked – England won!
